I got alot of sanding done on the inside last night. Will post pics tonight. Gettin closer to doing the deck.

You are doing a fine job , keep up the sanding .... my stock/holdings/investments in sandpaper has doubled ( almost tripled) since you started this project.

Inside is sanded and has the pre-coat on it. I will get the cracks filled with goopie tomorrow and sand it back down on Thurs. I hope to glass the interior Fri night and start the deck Sun. Sorry no pics.

You're right. There must be 50X more sanding involved in a Stripper than a S&G boat. I did learn to buy quality sand paper it is twice as expensive but last 5X as long before it dulls.

Fiberglass is installed inside. I didnt take any pics because it was the same as the outside. I am going to start building the deck Sat. morning and will be sure to take plenty of pics.

Got started stripping the deck today. I have been trying to figure out a problem for the last few days and finally PM'd Gerald and it took him all of two minutes to tell me how to correct it. While the form was out something warped and the deck lines were not lining up with the sheer anymore. That is all corrected now and things are going good. I will post some pics afterwhile when I wrap up for the night.

how did you correct it?

I took the strong back apart and sanded the bottom of the forms to line the deck line and sheer back up. Then shot one nail through the sheer into the form to hold it while stripping the deck. I still am not sure what happened but the hull and everything look fine. Can't tell that anything is out of wack. Guess it was just one of those things.

Would that account for the alignment problem of the deck lines and sheers?
Sounds like it if you had to sand the bottom of the forms to lower them after the inside had be glassed.

By adding fiberglass and subsequent layers of epoxy, it will cause the forms to fit a little snug. Sounds like you worked it out.

Finished stripping the deck tonight. No problems everything was going good so I did'nt dare stop till it was finished . I will pull the brads and start sanding tomorrow.
