Hi, are there any boat models here that could handle two adults and two kids? and maybe a dog? Or is 2 about the max?

For a paddle craft, the Sasquatch 18.5 is as close as you'll get:

We get two adults and 3 kids in the DK (a 10 year old & two 8 years olds side by side ) and they're not little ones and I'd say the Sasquatch 18.5 is similar in proportion.

Great for a picnic paddle up a river and back I'd definitely go the Sasquatch, probably would be big enough for a camping trip...

Would the Trapper work if extra seats could be mounted. It looks nice.

The payload should be fine. You might run out of elbow room if you pack bulky items. If you have a real big dog that's going to be jumping in and out while on the water, consider the 15-38 which will be more stable.
